Master Suite & the upcoming release of Showtime.

I've now caught up with all the expansions Game near me is still open. The weather is great at the moment and watching the Olympics has been taking up most of my spare time so modeling has been put on hold. I must admit I had lost interest in the sims but with the upcoming of Supernatural and Seasons being released I'm becoming quite excited.

After installing Master Suite up to Deisel game crashed once then my computer wouldn't start and I had to do a restore. The game had gone back to pets and I had to install the above again. Thank goodness I didn't have to go right back to installing the base game up etc.

I'm gutted that Game has gone into admistration as this was one of my favourite stores. I enjoyed going in there and browsing through the games. I bought all of my games from there and I now feel that I am being forced to buy online the choice has been taken from me. It doesn't look like I will be buying any of the Sims 3 expansions in the near future or any other games for that matter unless I can find a high street store that sells games as I refuse to buy online out of principle.

I've patched up to Showtime and am still playing from the base game exe, only using the installer to install custom content. I've not had any problems I'm glad to say. I don't intend to play online not sure I like the way Sims 3 is going.

Well looks like Master Suite updates to the 1.29 patch if you haven't updated it already. Lots of people having crashing etc, I've tried to help them but they don't seem interested in what I've got to say so I won't bother now. Will maybe go and buy Master Suite this week to I see if I have problems again when I install it, I'm glad I've got a big enough flash to keep backing up my game to. lol

I've been reading on the EA Sims 3 website that some people are having issues with the game continually saving after installing Master Suite. In my experience as a creator of custom content that it is normally the cause of continuous saving among other things. So I'm thinking EA may have changed files again that make the game not compatable with CC. Especially with Showtime being released in March and the game being changed to cater with online play.

So I'm stalling on uploading any creations of mine until I know what is going on. I'm holding off buying either of the above until I have found out if the latest updates are going to cause me problems as I'm quite happy now being able to play pets.
